Making it Match the Rest

Ensuring the proposed Carport addition match the existing dwelling does matter!

Customer Requirements:

  • Provide increased Shelter to Front Entrance
  • Provide Carport to side of dwelling
  • Match existing House lines and textures
  • Provide low-cost but effective style using sheet roofing whilst blending with existing tiled house roof.

Always a challenge but mostly achievable are client requirements to add a reasonably low cost structure to front of existing dwelling whilst not detracting the value and appearance of the existing dwelling.

Our Client recognised that by adding a Gable type of Carport would assist in developing and widening the dwellings frontal statement to the streetscape plus allow the extension of the dwellings front door entrance cover and protection needed from prevailing weather conditions for the motor vehicles.

Constructed with Canadian Oregon timber frame and Colorbond Roofing with two Polycarbonate skylights in carport and Polycarbonate Roofing to Verandah extension provided the material solutions required to the design needs.

A matching federation finial finished the project in keeping with existing dwelling
